When the real estate bubble burst in 2008, David pivoted to software development. He was involved in creating and executing custom programs for businesses and organizations to help them analyze and process data.
In 2014, a polar vortex swept across North America, causing temperatures to plunge and highlighting the flaws in the energy sector. David realized people needed a system to manage their energy usage and costs all year, every year, even through extreme weather conditions — without the financial fallout. So he set about creating just that.
Drawing on his knowledge of both real estate management and software programming, David created his own proprietary systems, methods, and techniques, aiming to reduce energy usage in multifamily and commercial real estate. From there, it was a no-brainer to become certified in providing local law compliance services, helping buildings comply with the law and save energy in the process.
